Organisation [change]
The current organization’s staff consists of 13 full-time staff members at the national level to provide monitoring, supervision, support and training to 14 regional offices. Five regional managers ensure that proper supervision to field staff and to volunteers and peer educators is provided.
CAA has a track record for extensive community based work throughout Namibia. Our volunteers and programs are well known and respected by community leaders, the general population and the Government of the Republic of Namibia. CAA has been a national leader in training and supervision of CAA volunteers, as well as volunteers and paid staff from other government, non-governmental, and faith based organizations.
Catholic Aids Action is a department of the Namibian Catholic Bishop’s Conference, under the leadership of Archbishop Liborius Nashenda who serves as the President of the Board of Trustees. CAA is registered in Namibia both as an independent trust and as a welfare organization. Funding comes primarily from international donors with local support coming in the form of dedicated volunteer time and talent.
We are most grateful for our many international donor partners and individuals who so generously support us in our work and mission:
